Introduced at the 1980 Nürnberg show, semi-scale version of the JetRanger for those who needed the metal frame construction of a trainer, but also wanted a scale look.

 Later in 1980 and Kavan introduced their freewheel autorotation clutch for the Ranger thus allowing the model to be used for autorotation training;
much cheaper option that practicing with the JetRanger or the Lockheed 286L...!!!
