Vintage RC Helicopters - Kalt Omega

KALT Omega

Omega

Up to the mid 80's TSK provided the aftermarket upgrades for the Kalt range however they then started to produce their own machines and moved away from the upgrade market.  To fill this gap Kalt set up a subsidiary section called Ω Omega to provide upgrades and thus the model incorporating all these upgrades was named after the section.   The new section also produced a number of high performance fuselages for various models in the Kalt range.

Kalt Omega (1987)

Pod and boom aerobatic helicopter for 60 size engines and designed by the first F3C world champion pilot Shigteda Taya.  The original mechanics were developed for use in the Jet Stream body for competition work and for use in pod and boom format for general flying.

Kalt Omega-Pro (Professor) (1987)

Next development of the omega with a number of general improvement plus the addition of a JetRanger scale body for competition.  The 'Pro' include the Black-10 SII rotor head, H55W main blades and Omega CF tail blades.

The Kazuyuki Sensui designed 'Epsilon' contest fuselage was also made available which had the unique option of no landing legs only 'fins' which reduced drag for a higher top speed.
